Multi-Layered Printmaking

Spring II 2018 / Printmaking

Create richly layered prints by combining traditional and contemporary printmaking methods including linocut, woodcut, polyester plate lithography, collagraph, silkscreen, and rust printing. Various inking and registration techniques for multi-layered printing will be taught. This course encourages exploration and experimentation not only in printmakingt techniques, but also in the use of texture and color palates. Make unique, expressive images by building complexity in your prints through layering and collaging. Explore the technical and creative possibilities of multi-layered printmaking and be inspired by the incredible results. The course is suitable for all levels: beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Course Instructor

Nicole Patrice Dul

Nicole holds an M.F.A. in Printmaking from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Tyler School of Art, Elkins Park, PA. She has been teaching art to adults and children for 11 years.
