After School Clay (Ages 9 – 12)

Tuition: $135 (Members: $120)


 


Children will learn hand-building and uses of the potter's wheel get the chance to get messy while creating their own unique work.  A no-experience-necessary environment, we provide all materials for projects and activities that children may need.

BFA, Kutztown U. in Art Ed. Additional studies at Philadelphia College of Art and Design. Joanne has taught both children and adults at Mainline Art Center, Abington Art Center, Germantown YWCA, and Fleisher Art Memorial. She is the owner of production pottery business.

Take a class

New PMC Workshop!
Try your hand at making a beautiful 3-D sculptural pendant out of PMC clay. May 20th, 10am- 4pm. Surface may be textured or polished to a mirror finish. Solder a jump ring with a small crème brulee torch for a finished product. Beginners welcome!

Artist in Residence - Opening Reception
Cheltenham Center for the Arts will host its first annual Artists in Residence Show opening on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 5pm-7pm and on view through June 15, 2012. Three resident artists will be displaying their work and installations; Colleen Hammond, painting, Patti Nelson, ceramics and Jennifer Hermann, metals.

Cheltenham Center for the Arts joins with Open Book and continues a new author reading and conversation series, Philly Writes!, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 7-8pm. Two authors will read from their novels and tackle family issues within The Bird House, by Kelly Simmons and The Winters in Bloom by Lisa Tucker. $10 adults/ $5 children.
