Woodcut Printmaking

We will explore all aspects of woodcut printing including concepting, cutting of the block, tools, paper selection, and printing. Students will have the opportunity to pursue an idea and see it through to a completed print. We also examine important historical figures pertinent to the medium as well as view the instructor’s personal collection of prints as a point of inspiration. All materials including tools, paper, wood, and ink will be provided.
