Jack Troy, potter, teacher and writer, taught ceramics at Juniata College for 39 years. He has spent muchof his life working with clay that he salt-glazed and wood-fired. Besides being the recipient of too many prestigious awards to be named, Jack has also published two books on ceramics: Salt Glazed Ceramics, Woodfired Stoneware and Porcelain, and most recently a book of poems, Calling the PlanetHome .
