Wheel Throwing for Teens- Ages 12+ (Winter 2017-2018)

No class on Monday, December 25th or Monday, January 1st.

This class teaches the basics of wheel throwing, as well as creating the basic cylinder and bowl forms in order to make bowls, vases and mugs. Try some decorative glaze techniques to enhance your surfaces. Beginners welcome, no experience necessary.

Instructor: Corissa Lynn

Corissa is a ceramic artist based in Elkins Park, PA. Originally from Michigan, Corissa received her Bachelor’s degree from Albion College in 2016. During her time at Albion College, Corissa was awarded the Arthur and Eva Janson Art Scholarship, as well as the Presidential Recognition Award. Since her graduation, she has worked at places such as The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, PA, The Art of It in Jenkintown, PA and FURSCA. Corissa has shown her work in exhibitions such as the Michigan Small Colleges Art Exhibition, the Art-A-Licious Art fair, the Mulieribus Albion College Senior Art Show, and, most recently, at The Art Center at Ambler’s 1st Annual Juried Art Show in Spring 2017.
