Gold Luster Workshop - In Person

Gold luster is an additive decoration that is applied on top of a fully fired, glazed ceramic piece. This process requires a third firing to set the gold into the glaze. The technique adds sophistication and grace to any piece. In this seminar, you will be applying gold luster to your glazed pieces with instruction and demonstrations from the instructor. Masks must be worn for the duration of the seminar to ensure your safety. All decoration will take place outside. Gold luster and paint brushes will be provided. Materials included in tuition.
What you need to bring;
*5 glazed pieces
*a mask

Angela Humes

Angie Humes graduated from Pratt Institute in 2012, majoring in photography with a concentration in ceramics. She interned with Monica Stevenson from 2011- 2012 focusing on studio photography, lighting, photoshop, equipment handling, and location shoots.
