Gold Luster Workshops - In Person

Gold luster is an additive decoration that requires a third firing to set the gold into the glaze. This technique adds sophistication and grace to any piece. In this seminar, you will be applying gold luster to your glazed pieces with instruction and demonstrations from Angela Humes. All decoration will take place outside. Gold luster and paint brushes will be provided. 

What you need to bring: Your already glazed/fired work: limited to 4 - mug sized and 1- 8” pieces per student.

Choose Friday OR Saturday OR Sunday. $20 materials fee paid to teacher by cash or check, day of event.

Students must wear masks and social distance at all times and will need to sign our COVID waiver prior to the start of the workshop.

Tuition: $100, plus $20 materials fee

Angela Humes

Angie Humes graduated from Pratt Institute in 2012, majoring in photography with a concentration in ceramics. She interned with Monica Stevenson from 2011- 2012 focusing on studio photography, lighting, photoshop, equipment handling, and location shoots.
