Described as the velvety-voiced vocalist by Seattle Times theatre critic Misha Berson, Tyrone Brown is a jazz singer and ambassador for all things Billy Strayhorn. His musical background includes singing with the Northwest Boys Choir and the Seattle Opera, performing in a vocal jazz group and choir, and producing and performing the Billy Strayhorn Project with the Nate Omdal Trio in Seattle, Washington. Brown is excited to be working with the Dave Posmontier Trio with Dave Posmontier on keyboard, Dave Brodie on bass and Doug Hirlinger on drums.

Now in its 13th year at the Cheltenham Center for the arts, Jazz Bridge is a non-profit arts organization serving a need no one else is addressing in the Philadelphia area: responding to local jazz and blues artists in times of need. Proceeds from the neighborhood concert series go to help local jazz musicians in personal or professional crisis. Concerts feature prominent jazz and blues musicians during an hour and a half long program which includes a Q&A with the artists.
