For instance, butterflies represent transformation, bees signify industry, scarab beetles symbolize renewal, and spiders represent wisdom and creativity. This class will help you transform your chosen insect into whimsical, multicolored graphics. You will receive guidance in selecting reference images and enhancing your concept, design, and composition. The instructor will demonstrate how to transfer your design onto the lino block and safely carve lines. You will then learn how to use a jigsaw technique to divide your block into sections, ink them individually with safe wash inks, and print using an etching press.
