Nicole Patrice Dul, M.F.A.
Nicole holds an M.F.A. in Printmaking from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Tyler School of Art, Elkins Park, PA. She has been teaching art to adults and children for 11 years.
In experimental printmaking, artists push the boundaries of traditional techniques by employing unconventional methods, materials, and processes. This challenges established norms and encourages innovation to produce distinctive print works. The course investigates the relationship between art, technology, and contemporary visual arts, focusing on the unique qualities of each print rather than its reproducibility. Participants will experiment with blending traditional and digital methods, creating unique prints by combining photographic elements with techniques like screen printing, relief, intaglio, pronto plate, or paper lithography, printing on unconventional surfaces, and collaging their work.
