Kate VanVliet
Kate VanVliet is a sculptor and printmaker from Philadelphia, recently relocated to Elkins Park, PA. She studied fine arts at Moore College of Art & Design before co-founding BYO Print with a fellow alumna in 2010.
Non-Toxic Printmaking serves as a supporter of your individual journey through printmaking. Curriculum is crafted by students’ interests with a focus on individual attention to complete your projects. This class includes demonstrations, critiques and instruction in basic printmaking media: collagraphs, monoprints, drypoint intaglio, relief printing. Silkscreen is welcome with prior experience and understanding that darkroom access is not provided. New innovations in safe, non-toxic printmaking practices are covered. Please come to class with any printmaking supplies you have, including printmaking paper, with additional materials list discussed the first day of class. All levels welcome.
