Marthe Roberts/Shea graduated from Moore College of Art, in Philadelphia, with a double Major in Advertising and Illustration. She has been Managing Art Director for Dupont de Namours Pharmaceuticals - Delaware, and CIGNA Corporation - Philadelphia. She has successfully run her own business, Taxi Graphics, Incorporated, since 1990.
Rebecca Schultz is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts facilitator/educator. Her creative practice includes painting, drawing, printmaking, and collage; participatory installation and public art projects; and performance art.
John is an accomplished Philadelphia painter. He trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and has taught at the Fleisher Art Memorial, Delaware College of Art and Design, Immaculata College and Bucks County Community College. Roberta Schlesinger is a master botanical artist, specializing in nature-based art and scientific illustration. She also does award-winning watercolor portrait/collage work. She is a Montessori Art Specialist for all grade levels and a Certified International Baccalaureate Diploma teacher at the high school level. She and her family are new to the Pennsylvania area. She teaches adults and children at her studio in Elkins Park.
Maryann Simms is CCA's resident Vinyasa Yoga instructor. Stemming from an extensive background in dance and fitness, Maryann was naturally drawn to yoga not only for its ability to simultaneously build strength and flexibility, but for its stress-relieving properties and heightened sense of mindfulness. Her all-level classes are for every body, shape, or size.
I love the concept of a variation on a theme. What better way to explore variation than through study of the human figure? So many ears, so little time…
Katie VanVliet is a sculptor and printmaker from Philadelphia, recently relocated to Elkins Park, PA. She studied fine arts at Moore College of Art & Design before co-founding BYO Print with a fellow alumna in 2010.
Bruce Weiner has worked as an art teacher and clay artist in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania for almost 40 years. He received his BFA and master’s degree from Temple University Tyler School of Art.
