Painting: A Creative Approach

Winter 2024/2025 Classes / Painting and Drawing

This class includes demonstrations and instruction in composition, color theory, and painting techniques using oil, acrylic and charcoal. Personal growth and expression are emphasized in critiques. New students should bring the medium of their choice or vine charcoal, and an 18"x24" charcoal pad for the first class. All levels welcome.

Stephen Kennedy

Stephen Kennedy is a painter and printmaker who lives and works in Fort Washington, PA. He studied painting with Nelson Shanks and Danni Dawson and has painted portraits for over 30 years. Collections include The Academy of Natural Sciences, Phila, PA, The Athenaeum of Philadelphia, and Campbell Soup Company, Camden, NJ.
